If you’re creating content of any sort for your business, you need to stay up to date on all the social media marketing updates! But we know that this can be an overwhelming task, on top of everything else you have on your plate. So let us make it easy for you. We’re covering alllll the platforms this month, from TikTok to LinkedIn, and one update is going to make editing your videos a whole lot easier.
Here’s what you need to know:
TikTok AI Voiceovers
AI is back again! TikTok now enables users to create AI simulations of their own voice in the app, that you can utilize for voiceovers in your own TikTok clips! This personalizes your content as opposed to the generic template speakers in the app and saves creators time by not having to manually voice over their clips.
This signals the start of a more widespread use of AI features in social media platforms that encourages higher content generation. Expect to see more of this rolled out over the next few months!
Meta Holiday Ad Options
With the holiday season quickly approaching, Meta has announced some new ad updates including easier-to-apply discount codes, updated reminder ads, in-store shopping promotions, and more. New targeting features are also part of the mix, reaching users who are specifically interested in holiday-focused brand discovery. (And I have to admit… if I’m being shown ads, they may as well be something I’m interested in!)
Taking advantage of these updates prompts new engagement that can lead to loyal customers in 2025 when utilized correctly.
Instagram DM Engagement
If you’re not utilizing DMs in your business, you’re missing a major opportunity to connect with your audience (and potential customers!). With Instagram DM usage on the rise, the platform is now providing some new engagement additions to further encourage the use of this feature. Instagram is pulling inspiration from other in-app features such as cut-outs, drawing tools, notes bubbles, chat themes, and more.
Instagram users are now far more likely to engage within their DMs than via Stories or the main feed, prompting creators to find new ways to engage with their audience outside of traditional posts!
Video Recommendations on LinkedIn
LinkedIn has recently made a big push for video content and is encouraging users to engage with new features such as video carousels. The videos shown are recommended to you based on your in-app activity. Tapping into any of the clips takes you to the platform’s new TikTok-like full-screen video feed (Remember our post in month’s past about the new video feed on LinkedIn?!).
Video content has seen a rise over the last few years, and updates like this prove this type of content is king for growing your audience on any platform. Now, that includes LinkedIn!
