Carousels on the Reels Feed

Move over, TikTok! Instagram recently shared that carousels will now show up on the Reels feed when a musical component is added. Finding inspiration from TikTok’s carousel videos, this new feature will allow users to exponentially increase reach on carousels. This update has been a long time coming, and provides users yet another way to add a little diversity in what they’re posting! We know how well a well-crafted carousel can do in the main feed, and we’re excited to see them perform even better over on the Reels page.

TikTok Collaboration Posts

TikTok is also taking notes from Instagram by adopting the collaboration post feature! With this addition, users on the TikTok platform will be able to now tag collaborators in videos which will land the video on all collaborators feeds. This feature encourages creators to make content together while also creating opportunities to expand the amount of views and engagement a single video can generate!

Instagram Profile Cards

Instagram has now announced a broader launch of its new profile cards, which provide a simple way to link people through to your Instagram presence. These profile cards are digitally flippable panels, which provide a QR code for immediate connection on one side, and a profile overview and summary on the other. This new feature will help creators make connections with brands, and can also be used to share with friends and introduce yourself in groups!

TikTok Holiday Ad Targeting

If you haven’t nailed down your holiday marketing strategy, now’s the time! TikTok has announced a range of new ad automation options, as it looks to maximize advertiser interest heading into the holiday push. Labeled TikTok’s “Smart+” campaigns, this expansion will provide more automated ad campaign features for TikTok users to optimize return on ad spend while reaching more willing and active consumers on the platform.
